Water-Projects:
One of the main challenges in the northeast of Brazil is water shortage. Due to that we organize together with the inhabitants projects to support them reaching and storing the rare water.
Our project work in this field includes digging wells to reach ground water as well as constructing cisterns and natural stone tanks to store rain water.

Education:
In our educational centre we offer several courses such as English classes and handicraft courses. Additionally various seminars and workshops for poor people from Araruna take place in our facilities. These trainings enable the participants to improve their skills and therefore their situation of life.

Persons:
Visits for poor and sick people:
We accompany "Senhor Damião" who takes care of poor and sick people on his weekly visits.
Community work:
Once a month we organize a voluntary community work to support selected families in need by building e.g. new rooms or sanitary arrangements.

Children:
Twice a month a meeting of our children's group takes place in our educational centre. Together with the children we play games, sing or read the bible.
Women:
Once a week we visit groups of women in the surrounding communities of Araruna to support them in the field of growing medicinal plants and manufacturing handicraft.
Rearing of farm animals:
Silo:
We support people of the surrounding communities of Araruna to build silos. The animal feed stored in such silos can be used in the dry seasons when the fresh feed is running short.

Cattle:
By means of your donation we finance cattle which are used for the work in the fields.
Goat cultivation:
In our goat cultivation project we buy goats for poor people in the countryside. On the one hand the goat milk is used to cover the own needs on the other hand to generate some extra money by selling the milk.
Plants:
Every year we produce some thousands of tree seedlings which are distributed in the surrounding communities of Araruna. Most of these seedlings are fruit trees which help to generate an additional income for the farmers by selling the fruits on the market. Furthermore a supplementary food source for the farmers and their families is provided by the cultivation of these fruits. In addition the project supports the afforestation of the northeast of Brazil.

Apiculture:
We support 22 apiarists in Araruna and its surrounding communities in the fields of honey production and sales. This helps the apiarists to further their income.
