The tree seedlings of the reforestation project also benefited from the rain setting in again. After having achieved our goal of 15000 tree seedlings, they now have to grow up to that point that they can be distributed and planted in the surrounding communities. Moreover we started to produce further 5000 seedlings for a partner organisation to distribute them in the neighbouring cities.
A water project which was completed this month has benefited from the first heavy rain, too. Thus in cooperation with the located farmers a pond was enlarged in a surrounding community. In this case the farmers provided the tractor plus special equipment, and we paid for the fuel. The first rain has already filled up the reservoir considerably. At this point we want to thank the donors of the doctor's party in Munich who made this project possible.
This month the annual preview of 2009 was elaborated and the AGM was held to verify the plan. This plan includes all the projects, we want to realise this year. For the list with the projects and the expected costs click here. We're still searching for sponsors for most of the projects.
All our projects can be found on our homepage with a detailed explanation and pictures. Thus everyone can individually choose their project, finance it and gets after finishing the project a report with a picture. A list of our currently disposable project can be found here. Beginning with March we will also present in each Newsflash a current project.
Besides these new project developments we of course continued with our old project like the women group, language courses, kids group and visits of poor and sick people.
